  • What is Shockwave Therapy?

Shockwave is an acoustic wave which carries high energy to painful spots and myoskeletal tissues with subacute,

sub-chronic and chronic conditions. The energy promotes regeneration and reparative processes of the bones, tendons and other soft tissues.

Shockwaves are characterized by jump change in pressure, high amplitude and non-periodicity.

The kinetic energy of the projectile, created by compressed air, is transferred to the transmitter at the end of the applicator and further into the tissue.

  • How Shockwave Therapy works?

ESWT involves delivering focused or radial shockwaves to the affected area using a handheld device. These waves create microtrauma, which triggers the body's natural healing response. This includes increased blood flow, cell regeneration, and breakdown of scar tissue.

  • What Shockwave treats?

Shockwave therapy is commonly used for conditions like plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendinopathy, tennis elbow, and other tendon and soft tissue injuries. It's also used for bone healing, wound healing, and even erectile dysfunction.

  • Medical Effects of Shockwave Therapy

  1. New Blood Vessel Formation

  2. Enhances the healing process

  3. Reduce inflammation

  4. Eliminates pain and tenderness

  5. Reversal of Chronic Inflammation

  6. Dissolution of Calcified Fibroblasts

  7. Dispersion of Pain Mediator

  8. Release of Trigger points

  • What can i expect after treatment?

After the treatment, you may experience temporary soreness, tenderness for a few hour or days following the procedure, as the shockwaves stimulate the inflammatory response.

  • Is shockwave Therapy safe?

Shockwave therapy is an innovative method for the treatment of various musculoskeletal diseases. Shockwave Therapy is considered absolutely safe, non-invasive and without the dangers of the surgical procedure and postoperative pain.
