PHYSIOTHERAPY
Our highly specialised physiotherapists (Master's Level Physiotherapists) at Physio Pattern Manchester will provide individualised Physiotherapy treatment tailored to your needs
WHAT IS PHYSIOTHERAPY?

Physiotherapy is a science-based profession and takes a 'whole person' approach to health and well-being, which includes the patient’s general lifestyle.
At the core is the patient’s involvement in their own care, through education, awareness, empowerment and participation in their treatment. We provide hands-on therapy focuses on the source of the problem, and the therapist has direct contact with the patient.
HOW IS PHYSIOTHERAPY DONE?
Your Physiotherapist will assess the muscle strength and the passive / active range of movement in your joints. Based on the subjective and objective examination, your therapist will tailor a treatment program, so you can keep your muscles and joints working as well as possible.
Techniques like soft tissue release, Manual therapy, Tecar therapy, Shockwave, class IV Laser, Magneto-therapy, Functional Neurology and corrective exercise might be used during your physiotherapy session.

WHAT IS THE AIM OF PHYSIOTHERAPY?

Physiotherapy will help you strengthen the muscles associated with your injury and physical therapist's goal is to optimise an individual's ability to function within society by addressing prevention, wellness and rehabilitation across the lifespan.
Commonly physiotherapy at Physio Pattern Manchester aims to:
-
Reduce pain
-
Restoring normal movement and function with an ultimate goal a centered and balanced body
-
Restoring motion to adhered tissues and making dysfunctional patterns again functional
-
Assigning corrective exercises to restore any kind of weakness, tightness, dysfunction or misalignment
WHAT HAPPENS AT MY FIRST PHYSIOTHERAPY APPOINTMENT?
Your first Physiotherapy appointment will be at least an hour-long session giving us plenty of time to discuss what the problem is, how it’s affecting you and what you want to achieve.
Your Physiotherapist will ask you some questions about previous injuries, medical conditions, your lifestyle and complete a thorough objective examination to get to the root of your problem.
We’ll explain why you are experiencing your current pain and recommend the best treatment plan.
Then we’ll get straight on with physiotherapy treatment to alleviate your symptoms/pain and advise you on the things you can to do to help yourself.
Any stretches, strengthening or corrective exercises we prescribe will be tailored to your individual needs.
