WHAT IS NEUROKINETIC THERAPY?

Neurokinetic Therapy is one of the best assessment tools and rehabilitative techniques. The Neurokinetic Therapy is a thorough examination of the whole body employing a system of precise muscle tests.

After the manual muscle testing a certified Neurokinetic therapist is able to identify all the dysfunctions and muscles imbalances, and how they can be related with patient’s pain / injury.

HOW DOES NEUROKINETIC WORK?

Neurokinetic Therapy is based on the premise that when an injury has occurred, certain muscles shut down or become inhibited, forcing other muscles to become overworked. this compensation pattern can create pain or tightness.

Neurokinetic therapy is based on Motor Control Theory. The Motor Control Center is where all movement patterns are coordinated and it’s responsible to generate movement or action. Motor Control is like the “software” of human body.

If a dysfunctional pattern is saved in the M.C.C. that stays there until is changed. Change can be achieved by re-educating the brain and the body the functional movement-pattern.

NeuroKinetic Therapy is based on the premise that when an injury has occurred, certain muscles shut down or become inhibited, forcing other muscles to become overworked. This compensation pattern can create pain or tightness.

NeuroKinetic Therapy (NKT) is a manual therapy that combines muscle testing and motor control theory to address dysfunctional movement patterns and alleviate pain. It identifies and corrects imbalances in the body's movement system by assessing the strength and weakness of muscles and retraining the body to restore proper movement patterns
